Privacy Policy

Template notice: This Privacy Policy is a starting template tailored to Tiqqets. It is not legal advice. Please have qualified legal counsel review and adapt it before you rely on it.

Tiqqets LLC ("Tiqqets", "we", "us", "our") operates an online marketplace where organizers sell event tickets and run fundraising campaigns, and where attendees, donors, vendors, and affiliates interact. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

1. Who we are & our role

For your Tiqqets account and platform activity, Tiqqets is the data controller. When we process attendee or donor information on behalf of an organizer for their specific event or campaign, the organizer is a controller and Tiqqets acts as a service provider / processor for that data.

2. Information we collect

You provide:

  • Account details: name, email, phone, password, role (attendee, organizer, vendor, affiliate).
  • Billing & contact details: billing name, address, and (for organizers/vendors) payout bank display information.
  • Transaction details: tickets, orders, donations, refunds, transfers, waitlist entries, merchandise purchases.
  • Content: reviews, ratings, campaign stories, support and dispute messages, survey responses.
  • Organization/vendor profile: business name, tax ID, website, addresses.

Collected automatically:

  • Device and usage data, log data, IP address, and cookies/local storage (see our Cookie Policy).
  • Affiliate and campaign attribution identifiers.

Payment data: Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We retain limited details such as the last four digits of a payout account and transaction identifiers.

3. How we use your information

  • Create and manage your account and role-based access.
  • Process ticket orders, donations, refunds, transfers, payouts, invoices, and vendor payments.
  • Send transactional emails (order confirmations, event reminders, receipts, survey and transfer notices) to registered users.
  • Send marketing or campaign emails where permitted, with an opt-out in every message.
  • Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, and comply with law.
  • Produce aggregated analytics and reporting.

4. How we share your information

  • Organizers: attendee/donor details needed to fulfill their event or campaign.
  • Vendors & affiliates: data needed for invoicing, payouts, and commission attribution.
  • Payment & infrastructure providers: Stripe (payments/payouts), email delivery, hosting, and mapping (OpenStreetMap tiles).
  • Legal & safety: to comply with law, enforce agreements, or protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

5. Fundraising & donations

When you donate, your name, amount, and message may be shared with the campaign organizer and, unless you choose to donate anonymously, may be displayed publicly on the campaign page. Anonymous donations hide your identity from public display but remain visible to Tiqqets and the organizer for receipts and compliance.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for the period required to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls and audit logging, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tiqqets.com.

8a. European users (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA/UK, our legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. International transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

8b. California users (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion or correction, and opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. Children

Tiqqets is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
