1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and for all activity under your account and credentials.
2. Roles on the platform
Tiqqets supports multiple roles, each with its own responsibilities:
- Attendees / donors — buy tickets, donate, transfer tickets, and leave reviews.
- Organizers — list events, sell tickets, run fundraising campaigns, and manage staff.
- Vendors — provide goods/services and manage invoices and payments through the vendor portal.
- Affiliates — promote events and earn commissions under an affiliate program.
3. Marketplace / intermediary role
Tiqqets is a technology platform that connects organizers with attendees and donors. Organizers are solely responsible for their events, campaigns, listings, content, and for delivering what they promise. Tiqqets is not the organizer of events listed on the platform and is not a party to the contract between an organizer and an attendee, except where we act as the merchant of record for payment processing.
4. Payments, fees & taxes
- Payments are processed via Stripe. By transacting, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms.
- Ticket prices are set by organizers. Tiqqets may charge platform service fees and payment-processing fees, which are disclosed at checkout.
- You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchases, sales, or payouts. Organizers are responsible for collecting and remitting taxes on their sales where required.
- All amounts are shown in the listed currency.
5. Refunds & cancellations
- Refund eligibility follows the organizer's stated refund policy for each event, together with our platform refund process.
- If an event is cancelled, the organizer is responsible for issuing refunds; Tiqqets may facilitate the refund flow.
- Disputes and chargebacks are handled through our disputes process. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension.
6. Payouts
Organizer and vendor payouts are made to the payout account on file according to the applicable payout schedule and any holds we apply for fraud prevention or dispute reserves. You are responsible for keeping payout and bank details accurate.
7. Fundraising & donations
Organizers running campaigns must use funds for the stated purpose, comply with applicable fundraising laws, and honor commitments to donors. Platform fees on donations, where applicable, are disclosed. Prohibited causes (including illegal, fraudulent, hateful, or deceptive campaigns) are not permitted.
8. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, listings, campaign stories, messages). You grant Tiqqets a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content to operate the platform. Content must be accurate and lawful. We may moderate, remove, or refuse content that violates these Terms.
9. Prohibited conduct
You may not: post fraudulent or misleading listings; resell or scalp tickets in violation of applicable rules; use the platform for illegal events or money laundering; scrape, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the platform; or infringe others' rights.
10. Vendor & affiliate terms
Vendors agree to the invoicing, purchase-order, and payment-term arrangements recorded on the platform. Affiliates earn commissions only for valid, attributable, completed transactions and must not use spam or deceptive promotion. Commissions may be reversed for refunded or fraudulent orders.
11. Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that events will occur as described or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tiqqets will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees you paid to Tiqqets in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Tiqqets harmless from claims arising out of your content, your events or campaigns, your use of the platform, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or present risk to the platform or its users. You may close your account at any time, subject to completing outstanding obligations.
15. Dispute resolution & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Where permitted, disputes may be subject to binding arbitration.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
